Description

The Rextron USBX-M315PD Type-C PD USB 3.0 extender extends two USB 3.0 device signals up to 70~100 meters (330 ft) over a CAT6A cable. Its unique features include a dual-host design with a host switching function, PoC support for PD in and PD out, and support for both USB-A and USB-C peripherals connection. The USB 3.0 extender consists of a local unit and a remote unit. It is plug-and-play and does not require any software installation. The USBX-M315PD works with major operating systems: Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Thanks to its dual-host design and host switching function, the USB 3.0 Extender allows users at both local and remote sites to instantly switch between two USB host ports by pressing a button. To protect connected USB peripherals, the cooling-down time during host switching is five seconds, after which the next PC (host port) is seamlessly switched to.

The Rextron USBX-M315PD Type-C PD USB 3.0 Extender supports power-over-cable and USB power delivery functions. These functions enable the remote unit to draw power from the local unit. To take advantage of these functions, sufficient power must be supplied to the local unit. The table below shows the power adapter specifications required for PoC and PD.
