Compact EtherCAT Module with Multi-channel BiSS-C/SSI Absolute Encoder Interface

The ICP DAS EtherCAT SubDevice EC4-ENC2A and EC4-ENC4A are slim-type absolute encoder input modules designed for EtherCAT systems. The EC4-ENC2A provides two independent channels, while EC4-ENC4A provides four independent channels. Each channel operates independently. The modules support two serial transmission interfaces: SSI (Serial Synchronous Interface) and BiSS-C (BiSS Continuous Mode, unidirectional).

The EC4-ENCxA supports a maximum transmission frequency of 10MHz, a maximum data length  of 48bit (including error bit, warning bit, and CRC in BiSS-C mode), and automatic cable delay compensation in BiSS-C mode. The maximum supported cable length is 70 meters.
